Hi folks!!! Here I am back on Tourism Spotlight, at long last, with some fun events for you to consider for the month of November and December. Not wanting to rush you, but there are just a little over 7 weeks until Christmas. Let the bells ring out and the carolers sing!!!!

It may be November but this is the month when we start thinking about Christmas and making our holiday plans and looking to find those special gifts for those on your Christmas list. Check out the events scheduled in Richmond, so many Christmas Markets, these are my favorite places to find that hand made gift for those special folks on your gift list.

Saturday, November 2

10am - 4pm: - Take in the Annual Christmas Craft and Gift Fair. Sponsored by the St. Peter's and District Ladies Fire Auxiliary. The event will take place at the St. Peter's Lions Hall. There will be 40 Tables of awesome handcrafted, homemade items. The Fire Auxiliary will also be having a bakes table, all baked goods or monetary donations are welcome.

 

9pm – 1am: – Royal Canadian Legion Branch 47 – Dance in Grand Anse featuring music by Full Circle. Admission is $15,00.

 

Sunday, November 3

 

8am - 11am: - Come to the Royal Canadian Legion in Arichat for their Community Breakfast. Eat in or take out available. Veteran's Eat for Free.

 

 12pm - 4pm: - Take in second day of the Annual Christmas Craft and Gift Fair. Sponsored by the St. Peter's and District Ladies  Fire Auxiliary. The event will take place at the St. Peter's Lions Hall. There will be 40 Tables of awesome handcrafted, homemade items.. The Fire Auxiliary will also be having a bakes table, all baked goods or monetary donations are welcome.

 

2pm: - Come to the St. John's Centre of the Arts in Artichat for the presentation: Rising Sea Levels and the Landscape of Isle Madame., with Donald Forbes. Donation at the door. Contact: 902-227-8303 for more information. Open to people with interest from all areas.

9pm – 1am: – Royal Canadian Legion Branch 47 –  Dance in Grand Anse featuring music by Blue Moose. Admission is $15,00.

 

Saturday, November 16

 

1pm - 4pm: - If you love art, make sure to take in the Art Show and Sale at the St. John's Centre of the Arts in Arichat. Donation at the door. For more information contact: 902-227-8303.

 

9pm – 1am: – Royal Canadian Legion Branch 47 –  Dance in Grand Anse featuring music by Straight Shooter. Admission is $15,00.

2pm: - The L'Ardoise Legion Branch 110 will be holding a Toy & Merchandise Bingo.

 

Saturday, November 23

 

10am - 2pm: - Come to the Angel Fund Holiday Market. There will be Festive Music, Vendors, tickets on a basket, Lunch, Bake sale and Silent Auction. To Book your vendor table Fee of $20.00 per table for the Angel Fund Holiday Market in D'Escousse. Email PAYITFORWARD.ANGELFUND@GMAIL.COM 

 

10am -2pm: – The Saturday Artisans Market will take place at the United Church Hall in St. Peter’s. Lots of great items to view.

 

Festival of Trees will take place at the St. Peter’s Lions Hall in St. Peter’s. Get in the holiday spirit and join in the festivities.

Sunday, November 24

 

8am – 11am: - Come and enjoy a delicious breakfast at the Lions Community Centre, 3128 Whiteside Road. There is no breakfast in December.

 

Festival of Trees will take place at the St. Peter’s Lions Hall in St. Peter’s. Get in the holiday spirit and join in the festivities.

 

2pm - 4pm: - Come to The Christmas Concert at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat. Entertainment will include Tommy and Shelly Samson, Becky Bourinot, Eastbound, Jean Kehoe, Adam Cooke, Buffy Mankoe, Delores Boudreau, Gerry Samson/Leon LeBlanc & More. Admission is by donation.

 

Saturday, November 30

10am - 12pm: - Arts and Crafts for Kids, ages 8 to 13 years of age featuring friendship bracelets. Fee $25.00, e-transfer: friendsofstjohnsarichat@gmail.com. Contact 902-227-8303 for more information.

 

10:00 am - 2:00 pm: - Need something to get you in the holiday spirit, then come to the Christmas Vendor/Artisan Market at the St. Peter’s Lions Hall in St. Peter’s.  The perfect spot to pick up some great Christmas gifts and beat the rush of holiday shopping.

 

9pm – 1am: – Royal Canadian Legion Branch 47 – Dance in Grand Anse featuring music by Webb . Admission is $15,00.

December – Tis the Season to be Merry – Come join us in Richmond County and Celebrate the Holidays.

The countdown is on just 24 days left to Christmas. If you are looking for some great gift ideas for those on your Christmas list, check out the amazing giftshops and restaurants in Richmond. Where you can find that special gift or treat your love one to a gift certificate to their special restaurant will be appreciated by those special folks on your list.
