East Coast Airways Takes to Cape Breton's Sky

Potential Good news for the tourism industry. East Coast Airways officially launched in Sydney yesterday. The regional carrier will fly passengers to and from Halifax three times daily year round. It’s first flight out of J.A. Douglas McCurdy Sydeny Airport was on Monday. With competitive pricing it is an additional travel route for visitors coming to Cape Breton.
Each flight is estimated to take between 50 to 55 minutes. The airline also offers direct flights to Halifax from Yarmouth, Saint John, and Charlottetown. The carrier will service the Maritimes with about 20 flights a day using five 19-passenger airplanes.
