The Strait Area Chamber of Commerce presents Leisure & Business Expo and AGM from May 13th to May 15th. On Friday the Strait Area Chamber of Commerce AGM Dinner and Awards Gala will take place at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre. The President's Reception begins at 6pm with the Dinner & Awards Gala from 7-9pm. Emcee for the evening will be Ian McNeil. The Jack Hartery Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Albert and Jeanette MacDonald of Albert J. MacDonald Construction Ltd. Port Hood. The Kevin Beaton Heart of the Community Award recipient will be Diane Johnson-Snook of Port Hawkesbury. Bill Stewart, Director of Woodlands & Strategic Initiatives for NewPage Port Hawkesbuty, will provide an update on their new BioMass Project. On Saturday, the Rotary Wine Fair will also be taking place at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre. Come out and sample wines of the world on May 14th beginning at 7pm in the Bear Head Room. Presented by the Rotary Club of Port Hawkesbury in conjunction with the Leisure and Business Expo 2011. The wines and ales will be provided by Premier Wine and Spirits and there will be a live Jazz ensemble for entertainment.
