10:00am to 12:45pm- 12th Annual Summer Surf Program- Come out for a summer of enjoyment -join the Surf Clubs -Kid's Club, Wednesday to Sunday from 11:15am to 12:45pm for ages 6-12 years must be accompanied by a guardian, fee $75.00 includes lessons and equipment. Junior Surf Club ages 13-19 years, Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 11:15am, fee $$75.00. Includes lessons and equipment, takes place at the Point Michaud Beach in Point Michaud. 

Chapel Island (Potlotek) tourism is offering some excellent Cultural experiences for locals as well as for our visitors. They are Offering canoeing/camp out on an island with tour guide Maynard Marshall, contact number 631-2394. Boating Tours/fishing and overnight stay in a Cabin by the lake. Historical tours of Battery Provincial Park in St. Peter`s are conducted with local raconteur, Clair Rankin, Monday to Thursday from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Come out and discover some of the rich history of St. Peter`s and St. Peter`s Bay. Tours begin at the St. Peter`s Lighthouse. Cost: $10.00 per person or $20.00 per family. Wallace MacAskill Yacht Club - Wednesday Night Racing. Location: St. Peter's Lions Club Marina, St. Peter's. Time: Skippers' meeting will be held at 5:30 PM for a 6:00 PM start.This will be the second year in a row for our Wednesday night series.  Club members welcome visiting sailors (and would be sailors) to join us on our boats, or on your own vessel.  Prizes are offered for winners of each race; and for winners of each series. 


Tour the St. Peter's Canal - Once a day from Monday to Wednesday. Tour starts at 2 pm, meet at the St. Peter's Canal for a 1 hour sail. No charge can take up to 4 people. Experience a ride through the canal locks and underneath the swing bridge. Take a short run about in the bay or inlet either under sail or by motor depending on conditions.  To book your sail call Gordon Kerr at 902-631-3754.

The Dundee Resort and Golf Club, now offer rentals which include Kayaks, Paddle Boats, Canoes, all for $10 an hour or swim out to our water trampoline and enjoy an hour for just $6. Open 10am to 8pm, located across from the Dundee Resort & Golf Club. They supply the life jackets and we also have free activities for the kids! Including Rock painting and craft making! Come out tonight for a Bon Fire starting at 8:30pm! Dundee is also offering some of the best Golf Rates on the island. Tuesday and Thursdays Dundee offers Twilight Specials, where you can play 18 holes anytime during the day up to 3pm for $45.00 plus taxes or play after 3pm for $35.00 plus taxes.  During the rest of the week, play 18 holes after 3pm for $45.00 plus taxes and these prices include the use of a Power Cart. Guests of the Resort can enjoy their stay and save as kids under 12 can eat and play golf free with their parents.

Nature Tours of Richmond County with Lynne Doucette mornings for a guided nature tour of beautiful Richmond County. They are not easy to find but Lynn knows them all. She will provide you with enlightenment as you walk through nature.

Water Adventure-Stand Up Paddle Boarding-Snorkeling and swimming in the waters of Bras d’Or with Michelle Richards on the Beautiful Bras d’Or Lakes in St. Peter’s. Museums in Richmond County:

11:00am – 6pm - St. Peter's Wild Life Museum open for the season. Hours: Monday thru Thursday 11am to 6pm and Friday and Saturday open 12pm to 6pm, Sunday closed. Admission Adults $2.00 and Children $1.00 Located on Toulouse Street, St. Peter's. - Toulouse Street, St. Peter's.

9am – 5pm - Nicolas Denys Museum on Denys Street in St. Peter’s.  Admission by donation only. Learn about Saint Pierre the French Settlement of 1650 and the history of our National Historic Site the St. Peter’s Canal which is the Oldest Working Tidal Lock in North America.

9:30am to 5:30pm - The Wallace MacAskill House Museum – Learn about Wallace R. MacAskill the world famous Marine Photographer whose picture of the Blue Nose is on our Dime. See old cameras and Photographs. The Museum is also a Heritage House so you would see what our homes were like at the turn of the Century. Admission is by donation only.

Entertainment in Richmond County:

7:30pm- Free Concert by the Sea at LeNoir Landing in Arichat. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy this outdoor entertainment.  

6:00pm – 9:00pm  - The dining room at L’Auberge Acadienne Inn, Arichat, will be opening for the supper hours on Tuesday July 15. We will be open Tuesday to Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. We are open 7 days a week for breakfast for our guests.   

7:00pm – 9:00pm - The Bras d'Or Lakes Inn presents Ceilidh at the Inn - July 10 until August 28 An exciting mix of musical entertainment every week. Cost: $5/person or $20/family, Free for Children Under 9. Cash bar.

 9:00pm – 11:00pm Jam Session in the Session Lounge at the Bras d'Or Lakes Inn in St. Peter's - July 10 until August 28 All musicians are welcome to join in.
