sea/inland sea. We are within walking distance or a short drive away from some
unique Cape Breton attractions and firmly anchored among many traditions and
cultures.

Richmond County:
4:30pm: - The Wallace MacAskill Yacht Club
Wednesday night Race, even though we don’t take visitors on board. It is still
a fun event to watch as they race around the lake. Members race regularly on
Wednesday evenings starting on June 24 this year and running through to the end
of September.

5pm - 6pm: - Children will learn a new skill
while having fun at the Richmond Arena through the Recreation Department of the
Municipality of Richmond. The program will focus on the basic
fundamentals required to make skating a lifetime activity. Instruction will be
offered through games and fun activities. Skills will include forward and
backward striding, stopping, balance control and agility skills. CSA approved
helmets are mandatory. If anyone is in need of any equipment please notify
Recreation staff when registering. Fee: $50.00. Instructor: Taylor Sampson.

D’Escousse Improvement Hall in D’Escousse.

Music Circle at the D’Escousse Civic Improvement Centre in D’Escousse held
every Second Tuesday of the month.

6pm: - The Johnny Cash Kitchen Party Live at the Bras d’Or Lakes Inn, featuring the incredible
Vince Burke on bass and vocals. We hope to see you at one of the upcoming
Kitchen Party shows: Call 902-535-2200 for tickets.
4PM – 7PM: - Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 150
in Arichat, will host a Take-Out Fish Fry Supper. Meal includes 2 piece Fish,
French Fries, Coleslaw, Tartar Sauce and dessert. Cost $12.00.

5pm – 7pm: - Saturday Matinee at the Bras d’Or
Lakes Inn in St. Peter’s.
10:30am: Beginning with registration at the
St. Peter’s Subway. Cape Breton Warrior Ride. In Support of Nova Scotia’s Veteran
Retreat. Real Canadian Recreation: Riding for Our Heros-Poker Run. Registration is from 10:30am to 11:30am, with the
run starting from the St. Peter’s Subway. Rain date will be October 18th.
$20.00 per hand ( you don’t have to do the run to purchase a hand). For more

Homemade Biscuit Take-out Supper. Dessert included, at the Johnstown Parish
Hall in Johnstown. Cost: $10.00.

Festival at the Groundswell in D’Escousse! Live music 🎶 backyard fun and more, you can even have your
cards read, sound like fun come on out!
