St. Peter's Takes the Across the Highlands Challenge

Tomorrow morning at 9:30am mountain bikers will begin the Across The Highlands Challenge. 75 spirited mountain bikers of all ages will take to the streets and trails of St. Peter's and surounding area starting at the St. Peter's Firehall. The participants will divide into two groups, one group will begin a 60km route that will go over Pringles mountain and back across Camerons mountain, the second group will begin a 30km ride through the Oban area.

Grenville Street will see alot of activity and hopefully a lot of well wishers cheering on the group of 75 riders as they set out together, continuing westward to Clair Rankin's residence. There the two divisions will take to the prepared routes for the across the highland challenge. The riders are expected to start returning at approximately 1:30-2pm. A BBQ is scheduled to take place at 4pm, where participants can share their experiences about the ride and celebrate at the end of an exhilirating challenge.
The tour will finish by riding the St. Peter's trail and drop their bikes off at the firehall.
