Open Life Session: 'Painting and Drawing Figures from Life: Musicians'

An opportunity for experienced visual artists to paint or draw a performing musician - Live! Musician model Ryan J. MacNeil has mastered his instruments (highland bagpipe, border pipes and whistles) and brings a unique personal flavour to the music he plays. Ryan J. and easels will be on hand in the Centre's Third Floor Loft. Artists - bring your materials and your talent and spend the afternoon capturing the spirit of the music. The public is welcome to come by and observe the creative process and share in the experience.
Ryan has used his playing experience and practical skills to develop a whistle which rivals any other on the market. Its strong mellow tone and the easy playability are quickly making it the choice of players worldwide. Ryan will have samples of his handcrafted MacNeil woodwinds on display.
