Christmas Magic in St. Peter's
The 15th Annual Christmas Open House sets the stage for the Christmas season. This is an event that I love to attend. Last year I took my granddaughter to the open house and she just loved it. Glad Tidings Christmas Shoppe's owner Marion MacLeod Stone goes all out to make sure visitors have a wonderful experience. The entire house is decked out in the most beautiful trimmings, the living room with the traditional Nativity setting and Santa standing by the chimney, to the most beautifuly decorated trees spread throughout the house including one in the master bedroom. I think my granddaughter's favorite was the large tree with the Christmas train running around the base. This actually might have tied with Marion's daughter's room with Santa standing behind the bed and the nutcrackers which are a giant hit with her. The lovely swags over the side table and around the fireplace mantle added a formal touch to the dining room and centerpieces were gorgeous. From bathrooms to kitchen this home is exemplifies the warmth, charm, and magic of Christmas. The open house will run for the next three weekends, November 13th and 14th, the 20th and 21st, and the 27th and 28th, from 9am until 5pm with a silver collection as admission. It is also a great fundraiser as Marion donates the silver collection to the local food bank. I would definitely say that at this time of the year a visit to Glad Tidings Open House is a must do for the holiday season, I am sure you will agree.
