Milling Frolic at the Highland Village Museum in Iona Today

Milling Frolic Today at the Highland Village Museum, come find out about this Celtic Tradition.

You are invited to sit at the table with us as we sing the Gaelic milling songs of the Nova Scotia Gaels. Singing, often communal singing, helped to lighten the burden of any heavy or repetitive work. Join us at the Highland Village in beautiful Iona, Cape Breton and experience a traditional milling frolic. You will learn how and why a milling frolic was carried out. 2:00pm-3:00pm.

Admission is included with general admission to the Highland Village Museum. For more information call (902) 725-2272 or 1-866-442-3542 or e-mail us at highlandvillage@gov.ns.ca.
