The 3rd annual Cape Breton Paddlefest will be held in Arichat, Cape Breton, on September 13-15, 2013. The event showcases the beautiful paddling opportunities in southwestern Cape Breton Island, along the sheltered inlets of Isle Madame and the open Atlantic coastline.

The event, hosted and sponsored by the Municipality of the County of Richmond, has been supported by CKNS and Rising Tide Expeditions as well as volunteer CKNS and Paddle Canada instructors from across the province.

Friday, September 13:  Paddlefest Registration

Saturday, September 14:
Breakfast will be held at L’Auberge Acadienne.  The price is included if you are staying at L’Auberge Acadienne.
If you are not staying at L’Auberge Acadienne, then breakfast is $11.50 to be paid at the restaurant.

Morning Meeting will follow breakfast at L’Auberge Acadienne.

Introduction to Sea Kayaking
Introduction to Kayak Rolling
Stand-Up Paddleboarding

Afternoon Session- choice of:

On-Land: Planning, Packing and Cooking from Your Kayak

Petit de Grat-Rocky Bay Guided Social Paddle
Sea Kayak Rescues Demonstration and Practice
Introduction to Kayaking in the Surf
Stand-Up Paddleboarding

Paddlefest Registration
Registration fee is $90 (Includes a t-shirt, bag lunch on Saturday, Dinner Saturday evening and all weekend sessions)

Kayak & Canoe Rentals
Rising Tide Expeditions will be renting Kayaks for $115 tax included.  They will deliver the Kayak to Arichat.  Contact Rising Tide directly.
