As a fundraiser, the Isle Madame Lighthouse Preservation Committee will be selling a beautiful lighthouse calendar. The money raised by the committee will help to keep their 4 lighthouses on Isle Madame maintained. The calendars are on sale at L'Auberge Acadienne Inn at 2375 Hwy 206 Arichat. The cost of the calendar is $20.00.
Calendar Photos include: Grandique Light, Hawke Island Light, Ile Quetique Light, Cap la Ronde Light, Green Island Light, Mouse Island Light, Marache Point Light, Jerseyman Island Light, Crichton Head Light, West Arichat Pole Light, West Arichat Range Back Tower Light, and the Plans of West Arichat Front Tower Light and Glasgow Point Light as well as photos of some of the former lighthouse keepers and their families.
With Christmas approaching the calendar, which has some very nice pictures of the areas lighthouses and the families who operated them, would make a perfect gift idea for anyone who once lived on the Island.
