Join us on June
29th at 7 PM, day after 51st anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, and the first
Pride March in Port Hawkesbury's history! Land acknowledgement and 2 Spirit
explanation featured by Bryson Sili'pay. Morgan Toney will be providing a
rendition of the Mi'kmaq Honour Song.
Dress fabulously
(including face masks please!), have fun, learn the history of Pride, and let
your rainbow flags fly while socially distancing!

The Strait Area
Pride March will be a socially distanced sidewalk march for protection of both
pedestrians and drivers. We will start with opening remarks at the Civic
Centre, then walk along Reeves Street and turn left to walk along MacQuarrie
Drive (past ROC Society). We will head back to the Civic Centre for final
thoughts and sharing.
Respect identity. Respect
QTPOC. Respect pronouns. Respect disabled people. Respect those
closeted/recently out. Respect gender creative kids. Respect social distancing.
Respect gender expression. Respect LGBTQ+ elders. Respect differences. Respect
each other.
Event is held on
the unceded Mi'kmaq territory of Unama'ki. Respect 2 Spirit existence. Thank

Canada Day will
be Viritual in Richmond County – The County is challenging Richmond County
Residents to participate by sending in their best pictures of their Canada Day
decorated Window or best Canada Day Attire. Email your photo to rboudreau@richmondcounty.ca,
Random draw will be made and winners will be awarded gift cards from local
businesses.
9:30am - 12pm:- DIMA -Development Isle Madame will be featuring Canada Day Drive Thru Event at Le Noir Landing. The First 100 cars will receive a gift bag and piece of cake. No Walk ins.

Textures in Watercolor-Outdoor Painting at LeNoir Landing, Arichat. Hosted by Richmond County Recreation. Participants
will create a beautiful watercolor painting of a patchwork quilt, incorporating
many different textures and techniques. This workshop will encourage your
creativity and is sure to be lots of fun! All supplies are included. Space is limited
so sign up early.

crafts are all the rage right now, especially painted rocks. You will create
mandelas (detailed patterns) and also paint a second garden rock with a painted
sunset landscape. These are beautiful rocks for a garden or a gift for a
