Kayak rentals and lessons are available at Kayak Cape Breton located at 5385 West Bay Hwy Roberta. Call 902-535-3060. 

Twilight Stables located in Soldiers Cove- offering summer kids camps Monday thru Friday, riding lessons, trail rides, pony rides and birthday parties weekdays and on weekends. For more information call 1-902-631-0882.

The Old Dunrobin Farm located in Soldiers Cove is offering a summer full of fun for kids and adults alike. A family run farm focusing on good family fun. Specializing in Rocky Mountain horses a rare Gaited breed. Come out and enjoy a trail ride or a pony ride. The staff is World Host certified offering its guest quality service. 10:00am to 12:45pm- 12th Annual Summer Surf Program- Come out for a summer of enjoyment -join the Surf Clubs -Kid's Club, Wednesday to Sunday from 11:15am to 12:45pm for ages 6-12 years must be accompanied by a guardian, fee $75.00 includes lessons and equipment. Junior Surf Club ages 13-19 years, Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 11:15am, fee $$75.00. Includes lessons and equipment, takes place at the Point Michaud Beach in Point Michaud.

Cape Breton Sailing Charters offers ½ or full day sailing charters for up to 6 passengers with Captain Greg. Take a sail out into the lake and take the helm to add to your experience.

The Dundee Resort and Golf Club in known for its excellent prices throughout the season especially it Twilight specials on Tuesday and Thursdays where you can golf 18 holes with the use of a power cart for only $45.00 plus from starting time to 3pm and then for the remainder of the day for $35.00 plus taxes.

The Recreation Department at the Dundee Resort now offer rentals which include Kayaks, Paddle Boats, Canoes, all for $10 an hour or swim out to our water trampoline and enjoy an hour for just $6. Open 10am to 8pm, located across from the Dundee Resort & Golf Club. They supply the life jackets and we also have free activities for the kids! Including Rock painting and craft making. Come out tonight for a Bon Fire starting at 8:30pm!!

9am – 12pm - Nature Tours of Richmond County with Lynne Doucette mornings for a guided nature tour of beautiful Richmond County. Meeting place is the St. Peter's Nicolas Denys Museum, rates are individual $20.00, family $30.00 for booking call Gordon Kerr at 631-3754. Richmond County contains many hiking gems. They are not easy to find but Lynn knows them all. She will provide you with enlightenment as you walk through nature.

11:30am to 5pm - The Café/Bakery and Gift Shop at the MacDonald Country Inn on Pepperell Street, in St. Peter’s. Delicious German desserts and breads made fresh daily, and serving a delicious light lunch- soups and sandwiches.

9:00am - 5pm - Mac's Celtic Gift Shop at 10042 Grenville Street, St. Peter's, B0E- 3B0- Open 7 days a week. 

9:00am – 5:00pm - Denys Trading Post - Locally Made Treasures- at the Nicolas Denys Museum at 46 Denys Street, St. Peter's.

9:00am – 5:00pm - It's Only Natural General Nutrition Health Food Store at 10042 Grenville Street, St. Peter's. B0E-3B0.

9:00am – 6:00pm  - Bras d'Or Outdoor- /Don't let the summer slip away stop in at the shop and check out the great selection of outdoor sports equipment from docks to fishing and hunting needs. Open 6 days a week, Monday thru Saturday, for your convenience. Located at 10042 Grenville Street, St. Peter's.

12:00pm – 8:00pm - Forget-Me-Not Gift Shop, 4155 West Bay Hwy, open daily 12 noon to 8 PM. Closed on Monday. - 4155 West Bay Hwy.

11:30am to 5pm - Treats and Treasures Gift Shop & Cafe/Bakery located at the historic MacDonald Country Inn at 9383 Pepperell Street, St. Peter's. The Gift shop carries a variety of Souvenir and gift items. The bakery will serve it's guests delicious homemade German cakes, sweet treats and baked goods and soups and sandwiches. Museums in Richmond County:

11:00am – 6pm - St. Peter's Wild Life Museum open for the season. Hours: Monday thru Thursday 11am to 6pm and Friday and Saturday open 12pm to 6pm, Sunday closed. Admission Adults $2.00 and Children $1.00 Located on Toulouse Street, St. Peter's. - Toulouse Street, St. Peter's.

9am – 5pm - Nicolas Denys Museum on Denys Street in St. Peter’s.  Admission by donation only. Learn about Saint Pierre the French Settlement of 1650 and the history of our National Historic Site the St. Peter’s Canal which is the Oldest Working Tidal Lock in North America.

9:30am to 5:30pm - The Wallace MacAskill House Museum – Learn about Wallace R. MacAskill the world famous Marine Photographer whose picture of the Blue Nose is on our Dime. See old cameras and Photographs. The Museum is also a Heritage House so you would see what our homes were like at the turn of the Century. Admission is by donation only.

Community Meals
8:00am - 11:00am the Hungryman’s Breakfast will take place at the D'Escousse Hall. The Hungryman’s Breakfast takes place every Second Sunday of the Month from 8:00 to 11:00am at the D’Escousse Hall. Admission is Adults $8.00 and Youth (10 and under) $4.00.  All proceeds to the D’Escousse Hall.
2:00pm -4pm -  STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL at the St. George's Channel Hall.  For $10 you will feast on all you can eat berries, cream, biscuits, bannock and tea & coffee.

Entertainment:
6-8pm - Music weekly at the Bras d'Or Lakes Inn with entertainment by Claudine Burke and Derek LeBlanc.
1:30pm : The Isle Madame Historical Society's Third Annual Art Auction - The Lorenzo Building, 708 Veterans Memorial Dr., Arichat. 1:30 pm viewing, 2:00 pm Auction.  If you're looking for a gift for someone or something for yourself, we might have just the item.
