Being from the area I personally take our Celtic music for granted. I am so lucky to be able to take in great talents such as Dwayne Cote, JP Cormier, Andrea Beaton throughout the year, playing at venues around the Island. But visitors coming to Cape Breton remind me just how fortunate I am as I witness their desire to take in our music and culture. It is amazing. And not only do we have the opportunity to hear the music but we have the opportunity through the Celtic Colours International Festival Organization to participate in workshops with the likes of Paul Davis, and Dwayne Cote who are willing to take the time to instruct us in the proper way to play such beautiful and traditional music. For those who would like to take this opportunity I am listing the "Learning Opportunities" available during the week of the Celtic Colours Festival here in Richmond.
