Results are in from the 2011 E-Force Racquetball Tournament held in Port Hawkesbury on January 14th and 15th. Dan Smith passed along this information on the event, congratulations to all participants.
“The 2011 E-Force Racquetball Tournament held in Port Hawkesbury, January 14-15 was a huge success”, tournament chairman Dan Smith said. All three Maritime Provinces were represented, 27 participants vied for the position of number one in their divisions this past weekend. The divisions ranged from Junior to Masters as well as skill levels, which included singles and doubles. Before the tournament began, a free players clinic was held for all new players in the area, run by Dan Smith and Mario DeMello.
The Port Hawkesbury Civic Center will be the premier facility being used to host the Canadian National Racquetball Championships May 22-29th. The top players from all 10 Provinces will be participating in this prestigious event. Over 200 players are anticipated, ranging from ages 16 – 70+, players compete with other players of the same skill level or age group. The Port Hawkesbury Civic Center will be used by the very best players who will be competing for a place on the National Team which will then represent Canada at International competitions. All other matches in this week long event will be held at the SFX facility.
