Artists as Entrepreneurs

I just received this information update from Sonya Mroz for an upcoming event at the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design, and I thought I would pass it along.

Calling All Artisans, the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design presents "Artists As Entrepreneurs". It's lively, it's interactive and it's highly informative. This two day workshop features Jeffrey Cowlings, well known designer-maker-instructor with NSCAD since 1999. The workshop will deal with:
Promotion "How to get noticed. The right look."
Pricing "Putting a price on success."
Packaging " Showcase you work and increase sales."
Product Development "Fads, fashions, trends-use them effectively."
The two day workshop will take place at the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design at 322 Charlotte Street in Sydney on January 22nd and 23rd, from 9am to 4pm.
Bring your product and promotional material for hands on advice. The two day workshop fee is $100.00 plus HST. Lunch and refreshments will be included.
