New Hours for the Fortress of Louisbourg

News has just reached my desk on the new time schedule and season open and close dates for the Fortress of Louisbourg. Our season begins May 15th and runs through to October 31st. Our new opening hours this year are 9:30am to 5:00pm all season long. (Please note that the site is also now open for outdoor self guided tours from November 1st to May 14th Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm but not on weekends or holidays. The site is available to visit but there are no buildings open and no services available).
Here is a list of Fees and Hours of Operation for visitors coming to the Fortress this season:
May 15-May 31, 2011: Open daily from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Fees Adult $7.30-Senior $6.05-Youth $3.65-Family Group $18.10.Children 5 and under are admitted free.(Prices include all applicable taxes).
Fortress site open: Outside self-guided tours. Our Visitor Centre is closed.Visitors can purchase their site passes at the reconstructed town-site. Access to the reconstructed site through self-guided tours(no guided tours or costumed animation).
A limited number of buildings are open. Comfortable footwear and warm clothing is recommended Enjoy your visit with us!

Frais et heures d’ouverture: Du 15 au 31 mai 2011 Ouvert de 9h30 à 17h. Frais-Adulte 7,30 $-Aîné 6,05 $-Jeune 3,65 $-Famille/groupe 18,10 $-L’entrée est gratuite pour les enfants de cinq ans et moins.(Tous les droits incluent les taxes en vigueur).
La forteresse est ouverte: Visites autoguidées à l’extérieur. Notre centre d’accueil est fermé. Les visiteurs peuvent acheter leurs billets à la ville reconstruite. Les visites de la ville reconstruite sont autoguidées.(Pas de visites guidées ou d’animateurs en costume d’époque). Un nombre limité de bâtiments est ouvert au public. Nous vous suggérons de porter des chaussures confortables et des vêtements chauds. Bonne visite!
