Red Island's resident Maureen Coleman Cuts celebratory cake for the Bras d'Or Lake
Councilor Gail Johnson from the Municipality of Richmond cut the Cape Breton Island Celebratory Cake at the United Church Hall on Friday. The Party was held in honor of Cape Breton Island being named #1 Island in North America and #3 Island in the World. The party also celebrated the fact that The Bras d'Or Lake became a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve this summer. Maureen Coleman of Red Islands who worked on securing the UNESCO recognition, cut the celebratory cake in honor of Bras d'Or Lake.
